Printed Book Quality Standards
We work with the largest book manufacturer in the world. As for quality, our books are second to none. There are 10 quality control checks on each book before it is shipped. Although on demand, our books are virtually distinguishable from offset copies.
You can choose from the most popular book types, bindings, and trim sizes.
Ten quality checks on each book is performed as it is printed. All books are checked to ensure the following:
- All pages are included in the book, in accordance with supplied materials
- Cover is applied with correct vertical, horizontal, and angular alignment within 1/16 of an inch variance
- Binding is applied firmly and squared to the book block. No excess adhesive is visible after trimming.
- Book is cut square within 1/16 of an inch variance
- Cover and Book Block match
- Print registration is subject to +/- 1/16 inch variance
- Due to the volume of pages printed, it is not feasible to review each individual printed page to ensure print quality. However, spot checks of a sampling of books is made to ensure print quality is of a consistent high quality.
